ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» Help-function for mode-settings of IICTV. ÇÄ¿ ÚÄÄÄĶ º ³ ³ ÚÄĽ Before you start controlling a device, connect º ³ ³ ÀÄÄ· a single- or multi-master interface to the ÇÄÙ ÀÄÄÄĶ Centronics parrallel output of your computer. º B U S º Supply the interface with +5 Volt and connect ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ it to your IýC-bus circuit. Now you are ready to control your IýC-bus with IICTV. -> If you switch on the automatic device update, then each time you enter a new value for an item, the update will be transmitted to the IýC-bus device. Switching the automatic update off allows you to make several changes before sending them to the device. (Press: to transmit registers) -> All IýC-bus communication is submitted to error checking. If anything goes wrong while the error checking is on the user will be asked for a decision. If you switch off this checking, the program will only sound a short beep and then continue. .PA -> Very SEVERE errors can occur if your IýC-Centronics interface can't work properly. The Checking for SEVERE(!!) IýC-bus errors should NEVER be disabled. Only if you want to demonstrate menu's from IICTV without actually connecting IýC-bus devices you may disable this. Don't forget to switch it on again!!! -> Your computer communicates with the IýC-Centronics interface via LPT1, LPT2 or LPT3, which ought to be addressable via addresses : ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» ÇÄ¿2 ÚÄÄÄĶ Centronics parallel interface ³ LPT1 ³ LPT2 ³ LPT3 º ³ ³ ÚÄĽ ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄ º ³ ³ ÀÄÄ· "printer data" ³ 03BC ³ 0378 ³ 0278 ÇÄÙ ÀÄÄÄĶ function: "printer status" ³ 03BD ³ 0379 ³ 0279 º B U S º "printer control" ³ 03BE ³ 037A ³ 027A ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ With the mode-setting for LPT1/LPT2/LPT3 you can select the correct Centronics port addresses for your machine. .PA -> If the connected interface board is a multimaster interface with ROM version IICIF3:M or higher, you can change the IýC-transmission speed in this mode-settings menu, by using following keys: "<" , ">". If your interface board is equipped with 6 MHz crystal, the "6 MHz value" for the IýC-transmission speed is set. If your interface board is equipped with 9.83 MHz crystal, the IýC-transmission speed is set to the "9.83 MHz value". When you use a multimaster interface of an older version, you can set the IýC-transmission speed via the 4 dip-switches on the interface board. The single-master interface is timed by your PC and operates at approximately 10 kHz.
